Our own seminar centre

"Being allowed to be essential"

Residential and seminar business

We look forward to welcoming you to our seminar house in Wendland (northern Germany) - a space where you can be yourself. We ourselves live here with our two small children and see ourselves as guardians of our 6500 m² property. Our seminar business combines professional programmes with a family atmosphere.

Everyone should be allowed to be essential

It's not just humans that are important here: Frogs, wild shrubs, fruit trees, squirrels Erich - and yes, to a limited extent, house mice - are also part of our habitat.

Ecological and plastic-free

Since we bought the house in 2013, we have renovated it ecologically and continuously expanded it: the seminar room in the garden in 2014, the natural swimming pond in 2015 and a conservatory with dining room and seminar kitchen in 2020. Oiled wooden floors, solid wood furniture, clay plaster with eco-paint and organic cotton bed linen create a cosy, natural atmosphere - some call it an „educational holiday“.

Since 2017, we have been striving to keep the house as plastic-free as possible. We did a lot of research to find alternatives and are happy to share our experiences as ecological inspiration - knowing that going completely plastic-free is unrealistic.

Our house from 1734 - in a round village

A village in a round shape

Our house no. 7 is located in the small round village of Beseland (14 farms) in Wendland, far away from larger towns. At night it is quiet and dark, the stars shine countless. The old half-timbered farmsteads are arranged in a circle, surrounded by fields and forests that are home to foxes, hares and kites - a place full of charm and closeness to nature.

A little bit of Switzerland in northern Germany

Behind our garden begins a varied forest with pines, oaks, birches and beeches - the „Clenzer Schweiz“. Here we find peace, connection and inspiration. Drought and climate change make the landscape vulnerable, but in the re:nature approach At the same time, we are working on the renaturalisation of people and land.

Our seminar house with garden - a short tour

A large garden with fruit trees, old oaks and cosy corners stretches out like a «slice of cake» on the south side of our half-timbered house dating back to 1734. The natural swimming pond invites you to swim and linger with the frogs and dragonflies. The sauna delights participants, especially during seminars in the winter months - including a dip in the icy pond!

Our guest rooms

The seminar area has double and triple rooms on the top floor with three bathrooms, a lounge with library and teenage table. On the ground floor, the light-flooded dining room and a stylishly furnished seminar kitchen are located in the conservatory extension. In the garden is our self-designed octagonal seminar room, modelled on the wheel of life - a wooden structure with large windows and a view of the countryside. There are also two caravans and a small dormitory in the garden for overnight accommodation.

Our accommodation prices with full board

We offer simple but stylishly furnished rooms. The price includes the comfort of an ecological seminar house and a garden with swimming pond and sauna.

  • Double room per night: 39 euros, plus 39 euros for full board per day
  • Single room per night: 49 euros, plus 39 euros for full board per day

Culinary indulgence

A good seminar also needs high-quality food. Our two seminar cooks therefore provide us with organic and regional products as far as possible and generally cook vegan and gluten-free.

For coffee lovers, our superb portafilter espresso machine is a delight in the morning and during coffee breaks (which our chefs usually enhance with cake).
