The re:nature approach by Ursula & David Seghezzi assumes that we can shape a life-serving future in a lively and creative way if we root ourselves in our own indigeneity here in Europe. Simply because we live here in Europe (regardless of where we originally come from, those roots are also important). Because the 5th Indigenous Principle of Life according to Seghezzi is „Belonging“: Where you are is the sacred land.
To enter this new „sanctity“ and dignity within one's own landscape and history, we must to walk a path of healing in Europe. We need to understand and also be able to empathise with how the first ancestors lived, and how gradually domination, exploitation, oppression, and ultimately alienation from nature, leading to climate change, arose. We must therefore travel back through the collective traumas of our history to the origin, in order to then retrace the „to include “Threads of Love" right up to our present day and into the future. Because there has always been this love. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here.
This seminar will, therefore, embark on a journey through history. Prepared and sustained by natural paths, rituals, and stories, we will „play our way through“ our European cultural history. This will be a tough challenge, but in the end, we will feel that all the layers of our history live within us. If we can accept this history within us and simultaneously free ourselves from it, then we will become truly alive together. Lively natives of Europe, so to speak.
The seminar will touch upon personal traumas, and we will therefore proceed with trauma-sensitivity. It is not a therapeutic seminar with the option of individual support, but rather a shared, supported, ritualistic process of healing and insight. The responsibility for one's own movement therefore lies with the participants. Sufficient psychological stability and the willingness to engage with the facilitators when experiencing difficult emotions are therefore prerequisites. And this seminar is a first joint experiment to see if such a journey towards enlivening the European indigenous heritage is at all beneficial or even necessary.

A mythodramatic journey through the Wheel of Life - in Germany in September

We delve into Ursula Seghezzi's European Wheel of Life. Following a day of preparation, we immerse ourselves in a nature-mystical ritual for 24 hours. In this, we symbolically traverse all seasons and, at the same time, all ages of life.
Every season, every stage of life, every transition holds challenges, tasks, and treasures. Before the new unfolds its power, the old must be honoured and let go of. This is how movement returns to life and a deep trust in becoming and passing away spreads. The journey goes deep and yet is like a game, from which we emerge transformed.

Location: In Germany in Wangelkow
In a 24-hour nature ritual, we encounter Frau Holle and Tannhäuser (two archetypal figures of European mythology) and journey with them through the Wheel of Life. In mythodramatic enactments, we create healing images that have shaped the worldview of our European ancestors and their descendants. Such images can still be found in our fairy tales and myths if we look through the layers of our history.

Wangelkow lies in the Lassaner Winkel, before the island of Usedom. It's a 40-minute drive to the Baltic Sea. We have the extensive grounds of the Brennesselhof and the Wald und Wiese e.V. association at our disposal, with a lake, campfire area, summer kitchen, farm shop, and the surrounding meadows and forests.
The conditions are simple and close to nature. There are composting toilets, a warm shower, no indoor toilets.
Journey
By car towards the island of Usedom, via Pinnow-Klotzow-Wangelkow. By train to Anklam and then bus/bicycle to Pinnow. Pick-up from Anklam train station or Pinnow bus stop with „Lassaner-Winkel-Taxi“ Eugen Schulte: 0175-8114353

By considering course costs according to self-assessment, we take into account different income levels, strengthen personal responsibility, and invite a culture of «giving and taking». Choose the amount that feels right for you.

This very flexible offer is aimed at anyone who wants to embark on the 'uma news' seasonal nature walks and afterwards would like a space for reflection and sharing: a one-off, several times, or regularly.
This evening, guided by companions Walle Gairing and Ulla Tvenhövel, who are trained and experienced at the uma institute, you will have space to tell your story of the respective seasonal nature walk and share it in a circle with like-minded people. The stories will be reflected individually or collectively (depending on group size). This creates space for the experience of not being alone in reconnecting with nature and with all the themes that need to be dealt with in today's challenging times. Even if you haven't done your own nature walk to the uma news impulse, you are cordially invited to join these evenings and weave yourself into the larger tapestry.
The empowering circle takes place 1-2 weeks after the uma newsletter is sent out (so 8 times a year).
The contribution is at your discretion and ability, ranging from €15 to €30 per evening. Upon receipt of your registration, Walle and Ulla will send the Zoom link and bank details.
